If you couldn't make it to my studio launch last week, fear not as I am about to take you on a tour of my space at Meanwhile House Cardiff.
The studio is super cosy and has massive north-facing windows that fill the space with lots of diffused natural light all day. Although I use flash lights on most of my shoots, it's nice to be able to use natural light whenever I want.
As it's a small space I had to come up with some clever storage ideas. The long shelf high up along one of the walls allows me to store all my props without taking up floor space. The green shelving unit is where I keep the things I need more often such as equipment and of course mugs, tea and dog treats.
The other half of the room is a lot more flexible with movable and paintable boards and wood-effect vinyl flooring that can be rolled up and replaced for different photoshoots.
I keep real and artificial plants in the studio because I often use them as props for photoshoots. Oliver also has his permanent bed and water bowl in the studio so he can nap while I work. His favourite spot is on top of the desk so he can look out of the window.
With the new studio comes a new brochure that doubles up as a poster. Get in touch if you'd like one!
