'How To Photograph Your Own Work' Photography Course

Do you want to be able to take great photos of your products?

 

What?

 

This 1-day practical course will introduce you to tips and techniques for photographing your work. You will learn the basics of digital photography as well as simple ways of lighting and styling your products for social media, blogs and online shops. There will be hands-on tasks in a relaxed environment and you will be able to enjoy some networking time with complimentary refreshments. 

 

 

We will cover the following topics:
  • The basics (exposure; aperture; ISO; white balance)

  • Lighting (working with natural light)

  • Styling (backdrop and props)

  • Composition and framing

  • Introduction to simple image editing tools

 

What you need to bring:
  • Your own camera – DSLR or compact

  • Small piece of work

  • Props (optional)

  • Notepad and pen

 

Who?

 

The course is open to designers, crafters, makers, business owners, bloggers and anyone else who may need to photograph items or products for online use.  It is especially designed to fulfil the needs of anyone using online platforms such as Etsy, NOTHS, Instagram, Shopify, etc. This course is limited to 6 spaces, which means all attendees will get the chance to ask questions and get help in a relaxed environment.

This also presents a great chance to network with likeminded people over lunch time.
