Use tracing paper to diffuse light
Whether you use natural light from a window or artificial light from a desk lamp diffusing the light will give you soft shadows so that people can focus on your product rather than the funny shaped shadow next to it. It’s so easy to achieve this by placing a sheet of tracing paper in front of the light source. You can move it closer or further from the light to get the desired amount of softness or even layer it with more sheets of tracing paper.
Top tip: If you’re using natural light from a window a translucent white curtain will also work well!
Did you give it a go? I’d love to see what you’ve done with this week’s tip.
